I am everything, something and no-thing, all at once. I am everywhere, somewhere and nowhere. What am I? No, it’s not a trick question. You and I, and everyone, are the same on some level. Pisces reflects this higher truth. In each of us lies everything that ever was and will ever be. We are beyond the separation the mind creates. We are beyond space and time.
Deep down, we know this to be true. And we know exactly what happens next, because it has already happened on some level. Actually, nothing happens, all is. And while we may forget that from time-to-time, from lifetime to lifetime, we sometimes catch a glimpse of this truth when we are not looking.
Granted, it can sometimes take a lot of looking before we ‘accidently’ stumble across it. Many times, our sense of oneness comes out of the blue; the bright blue sky; a colour associated with the sign Pisces, a sign full of symbols and myths that capture this truth. We are but a drop in the ocean, an essential ingredient in the mix. Without each and every one of us, there would be no-thing. Within each of us is everything. Yet we are also a separate ingredient on some level, a person with a name, title, a position in society, a family, a community, all forming part of our story. We have already chosen the story. It is written in the stars.
Higher (deeper) truths contain within them lower truths that seem to have many contradictions the mind grapples with. This is one reason Mercury is seen as debilitated in Pisces. Mercury represents the intellect, which has a hard time grasping this truth. Jupiter is ruler of Pisces and has no such problem. And when we have this knowing, we have tapped into the magick of Pisces.
We know on some level that we can be, do and have anything we want. And yet, we seem to become someone we would not consciously chose at times. We don’t always do what we aspire to do, it seems. We don’t seem to get what we want always.
When someone says they have ‘raised their vibration’ to manifest what they want, they are simply getting out of the way of what we have already chosen. By raising their vibration, by surrendering to what already is, they align with what they have already asked for. We do not make anything happen from an egoic perspective, although our egos may hijack the process and lay claim to the achievement. Even when we don’t get what we want, the ego hijacks that process and becomes the martyr.
Jupiter in Pisces opens us up to being able to see this, to know this, within. We simply tune into what we have already asked for. We surrender.

Jupiter’s Transit in Pisces
Jupiter enters sidereal Pisces on Apr 13, 2022, the day after an exact conjunction with Neptune at the last degree of Aquarius. Neptune follows Jupiter into Pisces soon after, on Apr 18. While Neptune stays only briefly in Pisces this year, until Sep 12, Jupiter remains in Pisces for a year, until Apr 21, 2023.
This is the one we've been waiting for, folks. But before we get carried away with what may be quite profound for some, I must point out some potential pitfalls. You see, Jupiter in Pisces alone is prone to going overboard. It's conjunction with Neptune adds to this potential.
The most obvious example of this is copping out to be able to cope. Even meditation, ordinarily a practice that can help us deal with our stuff, can become a sort of 'spiritual bypassing'. We may think we are tuning in, when we are actually tuning out. The Jupiter-Neptune conjunction, exact Apr 12, shows the potential for tripping out. Yet it also shows the potential for connecting to one another in ways we have not been able to for some time.
I noted this summer there are plans for another Love Parade in Berlin, an event that hasn't taken place since 2010 - the last time Jupiter transited Pisces. I imagine there will be many tuning out at the event, and this summer in general, but also many tuning into the truth of who they really are; that is, being everything, something and no-thing, all at once.
Another thing that happened the last time Jupiter was in Pisces was that the WHO declared an end to the H1N1 Global Pandemic. Okay, maybe that's just my own wishful thinking and spiritual bypassing!
Other things of note during Jupiter's previous transit in Pisces from 2010 to 2011 were the bailouts for several EU countries, including Greece, Ireland and Portugal. When we consider the war in Ukraine, we are likely to see large sums donated. But if we ignore the fact that Ukraine is in more debt than ever, we are not looking at the whole picture. Pisces tells us we must be aware of both sides of the coin, the two directions the fish are swimming in.
Another thing that happened the last time Jupiter was in Pisces was the founding of Instagram. This is Jupiter in Pisces showing our best self, with all the filters on. One can only imagine how will this express itself with Neptune conjunct Jupiter in Pisces this time round. It may be through the Metaverse, carefully curated avatars that grant us the opportunity to be someone else for a while.
Yet another thing that happened the last time Jupiter transited Pisces was the U. S. diplomatic cable leaks (Wikileaks). Are we likely to see some things being leaked again? The difference this time is we are also likely to be very confused about whatever is presented as Jupiter conjoins Neptune in Pisces.
Actual leaks, floods and tsunamis after volcanoes, are also very likely with Jupiter and Neptune in Pisces. Recent floods in Australia may be just a preview of what's to come. There were many floods the last time Jupiter transited Pisces, including a Japanese earthquake, and subsequent tsunami, the strongest in its recorded history, which killed over 28,000 people.
There were the Arab Spring Protests the last time also. When Jupiter is strong, people are more hopeful and can effect a change.
I'm sure there will be many other events this year that follow these trends. But because Jupiter is joined Neptune this time (unlike Uranus, the last time), we are likely to be at least a little confused about what is actually happening, or what to do next. When anything is possible, we might not do anything at all.
Summer of Love & Hate
This is the first time in a few years that Jupiter is strong by transit. Yet there are other, more challenging transits, that suggest a mixed bag of results. The last time Jupiter was strong was when it transited Sagittarius in 2019. Jupiter may have been strong, but just not in a way we would have preferred. It's conjunctions with Pluto, Saturn and Ketu saw the beginning of a pandemic, which just goes to show you don't always want Jupiter expanding on a theme!
In Pisces, Jupiter expands on themes of connection and loss, of peace and surrender. We are likely to want to connect to each other more than we have in a long time. Yet we are just as likely to disconnect from realities that are too difficult to deal with. If we do connect, we are likely to be more compassionate. Yet we must be aware of the fish swimming in the opposite direction, i.e., becoming apathetic.
And yet another pitfall of Jupiter in Pisces: When everything is possible, something may be achievable, and yet, nothing is clearly defined. We can at least feel more hopeful about humanity despite, or indeed, because of, the challenges. Yet there may be a sense of overwhelm and need something to help us cope.
Jupiter does have an aspect from Saturn for much of the year. Although this could dampen optimism, it could be a good container for Jupiter, an 'attentive optimism'. We may ''turn on, tune in and drop out'', as Timothy Leary once suggested, but we may tune out when Saturn enters Aquarius by the end of April, and until the middle of July, when Saturn returns to Capricorn and limits us going overboard again.
Even while Saturn is in Aquarius, Rahu is also in Aries, placing Jupiter between the two. When Jupiter is flanked by Saturn and Rahu, we are likely to see many complex issues spring up around any kind of uprisings, as well as floods, and the need for humanitarian relief. Containment may work at times (Saturn), whether of people or of rising water levels, yet at other times, boundaries and borders may be challenged (Rahu).
Jupiter and Neptune’s conjunction in Pisces is also likely to be expressed in an outpouring of emotion, and of more people being displaced. We've already seen the largest migration of people since WW2 occur in Ukraine.
There is hope on the horizon, just as there is fear. But there is always the potential for delusion when Neptune is about. The last time they met at the very end of Aquarius there was a peace treaty ended the Crimean War. This offers hope for a peace deal by the end of April and into May 2022. Although Jupiter and Neptune did meet during the nuclear bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, it was in the opposite sign Virgo. Let's hope Jupiter and Neptune's strength in Pisces wins out, that it doesn’t take such a catastrophe for peace to return.
