October 2025 FOrecast

October brings a dip in energy and mood, with the Sun and Venus both in weakened positions. This can lead to being overly critical, but it could also be used to make improvements instead of complaining.

There is hope for something better as Jupiter peaks into Cancer in October, although this is also a very short preview of what is possible by next year.

On October 4, Venus conjoins Ketu. Simplicity is the best approach, whether in your finances or relationships. Venus represents specific relationships for you, so watch what the signs Taurus and Libra rule in your birth chart. Ketu is cutting, dredging up the past, so be mindful of mindless behaviour that comes back to haunt you.

Venus moves into Virgo on October 9, its sign of debilitation. The mood is likely to take a dip. It may simply mean you don’t enjoy something as much and question if it’s the right fit. Venus in Virgo can easily find fault. Try to find things to appreciate. Thankfully, there is a wonderful compensating factor occurring at this time: Mercury transits Venus’ sign, Libra, exchanging with Venus in Virgo. A few choice words can do wonders when making improvements.

I like the ‘criticism sandwich’ approach, where you say something complimentary, followed by a criticism, finishing with another compliment. That is, of course, if you wish to salvage a situation or improve upon a relationship. If not, you may have at it and cuss them out before walking away. But be aware that this will likely bite you in the ass at some point in the future. It costs nothing to be kind, even while you walk away from something or someone that no longer serves you.

The Sun enters Libra on October 17, marking a yearly low point into mid-November. Yet there is something more hopeful this year with Jupiter entering Cancer, its exaltation sign, by October 18. While much may seem unstable in the world, there is a sense of something more optimistic on the horizon. Faith kicks in when things seem to fall apart, helping us hold strong even when we cannot see the results straight away. Remind yourself of this as Jupiter stalls at the first degree of Cancer by November 11, returning to Gemini by December 6.

Jupiter’s pause may feel like a moment of suspended hope, as if we must redraw life’s blueprints before moving toward something better next year. Its station sets the tone for much of the end of 2025—caught between an old order that must reckon with itself and a new one still taking shape.

On October 24, Mercury enters Scorpio, followed by Mars on October 27. This tense pairing strengthens Mars but not Mercury, indicating that actions will take precedence over words. But words that are spoken cut deep and require more consideration, especially as Venus continues to struggle in Virgo, reaching its debilitation by degree by October 31 (Halloween).

With Jupiter also in a precarious position at this time, poised on the cusp of two signs, this could bring ‘double, double toil and trouble’. Keep the faith and your eye on the things that make you happy, reminding yourself that happiness isn’t just about feeling good; it’s about sticking with what makes your life meaningful even when it doesn’t.
