Oct 11, 2018 to Nov 3, 2019 (except between March 29 and April 23, 2019)
Every twelve years or so Jupiter makes a complete circuit of the zodiac, marking periods of growth and understanding that can be traced through the movement of the biggest planet in our solar system.
Jupiter always brings growth. Whether that growth is benign, is another matter. So, while someone with Libra rising sign may experience a growth of income, for example, someone with Scorpio rising sign may experience a physical growth which may lead to unwanted weight gain during this transit.
The questions to ask are: What are you growing, and can you experience growth in this area of your life in a more positive way?
Those with Gemini rising can experience this as a growing need to look after their health and daily routines - a conscious awareness of which would do wonders for their health. Ignoring such could lead to problems. No two individuals with Gemini rising signs will experience Jupiter in the same way, of course. Another possibility for Gemini is a growth of responsibilities at work which may or may not be welcomed. Ultimately, Jupiter's expansion offers a deeper connection to the area of life it impacts - and that is always positive, bringing more coherence.
Growth is not always visible, of course, as may be the case where one experiences an inner expansion, a vision or a broadening of one's horizons without ever leaving home. Sometimes the growth is more obvious, as is the case with someone receiving a promotion, including financial abundance and a deeper connection to their work.
Those with their Moon sign in Taurus, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn or Pisces will benefit most from Jupiter’s transit in Scorpio.
Although all signs benefit from Jupiter's presence to some degree, not all Moon's signs may feel as purposeful as the signs listed. And not all signs experience Jupiter's grace to the same degree, depending on its strength in one's natal chart.
Jupiter's transit in Scorpio represents growth that is often hidden, although Scorpio also represents very tangible, external things such as jointly-held resources (those buried underground such as oil), waste, taxes, sex and death; to take just a few examples.
We will see an expansion of Scorpio-related themes throughout Jupiter's transit, and more awareness and understanding about these. General themes are of death and resurrection, of change and vulnerability, of fears and insecurities, of shared values and resources, of sexuality and intimacy, of power and control, of loyalty and betrayal, of transcendence and mysticism.
Jupiter likes being in Scorpio, just as it likes being in the other water signs, Cancer and Pisces. Jupiter represents our intuition which fairs better when we are more internally focused and in touch with our feelings. Libra may have given us insights into others, but its transit left us feeling unsure of how to interact. It did, however, reflect a need to tackle issues of equality, as was the case with the #metoo movement. But it left many not knowing how to behave.
Now that Jupiter transits the more self-centered and intuitive Scorpio, we ask ourselves about the appropriateness of our own actions (Mars), and more importantly, we can hear what is relayed, in a visceral sense.

Part 1: Oct. 11, 2018 to March 29, 2019
Jupiter is moving very fast through Scorpio for its first transit through the sign, from October 11, 2018. It reaches the end of the sign in just over 5 months; moving into Sagittarius on March 30, 2019, where it will station at the first degree of the sign.
This makes for a period where things will seem to happen fast, where insights are up for grabs and it will feel like someone has yanked off a plaster so that we can heal quicker. More secrets will be exposed as hidden dynamics are unveiled.
We must hit the ground running if we are to make the most of these revelations. As soon as Jupiter enters Scorpio, it receives a boost by Mars' exaltation, fueling it in more explosive ways. It then receives an aspect from the north node in Cancer - exact in November, shaking things up. By December 23, Mars moves into Pisces, exchanging water signs with Jupiter in Scorpio, in a positive trinal relationship between two friends. This is a positive situation overall for the end of 2018, although it poses some challenges for the fire and air signs.
Healing is always possible while Jupiter transits Scorpio, including a sexual healing, with all kinds of therapies becoming more prominent to redress some of the imbalances of late.
There is one big snag in all of this, of course: that is, once Jupiter enters the first degree of Sagittarius, it places the plant of growth in a position of weakness. Just in time for Brexit in March 2019.

There is one big snag in all of this, of course: that is, once Jupiter enters the first degree of Sagittarius, it places the plant of growth in a position of weakness. Just in time for Brexit in March 2019.
When viewing the timing of Brexit in Jupiter's transit, it should come as no surprise that the financial situation in the UK, and Ireland in particular, is about to go through a lot of uncertainty and change, as the world experiences the knock-on effect.
Vedic astrologer Geoffrey Pearce gives the UK and Irish charts Scorpio rising on his website nationaloutlooks.com, making Jupiter the ruler of finances in both. This impacts Ireland even more so, as the Irish chart is currently experiencing a Jupiter cycle (dasa).
Brexit was always going to shake things up and break things apart. Without it we would not grow. As the late Leonard Cohen sang, ‘Forget your perfect offering. There’s a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in’.
The crack in this situation is represented by the gap between Scorpio and Sagittarius, known as gandanta, and is where Jupiter will remain for much of 2019. We must transverse a sensitive juncture in our story, leading to a vulnerable period for humanity, and a testing time for doing what is right. But this just sets in motion a larger cycle of break down and regrowth as Jupiter returns to Sagittarius by the end of 2019 and into a conjunction with Mars, Saturn, Pluto and the south node, as it enters its sign of debilitation in 2020.
For now, let us remind ourselves that everything happens for a reason, and if we can tune into Jupiter’s still voice, our own still voice accessed in the stillness of being, we can surely see the perfection in even the most horrendous events taking place on the planet during these times of upheaval and, yes, growth.
A gemstone is not polished without rubbing just as a human is not perfected without trials.
Part 2: April 23 - Nov. 3, 2019
Jupiter's return to Scorpio in 2019 has a slower pace and is more focused due to its direct station on August 11. All its transit in Scorpio in 2019 occurs in the lunar section called Jyestha.
Jyestha is represented by an elder, having acquired skills and secret knowledge, but with a sense of being overlooked, acting in ways that undermine their own interests. Bitterness can ensue, and, as the proverb goes, 'If you dig one ditch you better dig two cause the trap you set just may be for you'. In other words, Scorpio can be their own worst enemy.
Occult and secret knowledge will captivate us throughout 2019 and it is little wonder that Donald Trump has his Moon placed in Jyestha, making for an intriguing period as we get to understand a little more of the power dynamics involved in getting to the top.
The myth of Indra, chief of the gods, and ruler of Jyestha, is playing out in a modern setting. In myth, Indra was consumed by his jealousy and obsession; his need to be in control. His sexual conquests and acts of adultery eventually led to a curse which covered his flesh with a thousand vaginas - later transformed into a thousand eyes. This is an analogy of the ability to 'transmutate' the sexual impulse for spiritual awakening.
We will probably see the very highs and very lows of the sexual impulse play out in 2019; from sexual indiscretions to deeper spiritual connections and sexual healing. But just as in myth, the abused are almost always cursed as well. We can see this play out in victims of abuse bravely coming forward to testify, while being punished for doing so. Jupiter's presence brings more awareness at the very least, and more healing.
This theme is likely to play out in all kinds of ways; through indiscretions transforming the lives of individuals in power, to personal healing of sexual abuse, as we connect with our own power and innate wisdom during the powerful transit of Jupiter through Scorpio.
